IMPORTANT AUDITION DETAILS
This is a Teens on Stage Workshop. Anyone interested must first audition. Once cast, cast members must register and pay for the workshop online.
BARE explores sensitive topics such as teenage suicide, teenage pregnancy, underage drinking, sex, and drug use. Participants must be at least 13 years old at the start of classes. Parents are encouraged to determine whether it is appropriate for their teen before their teen auditions. A synopsis can be found here.
Auditions will be held on Friday November 11 from 4PM-6PM and Sunday November 13 from 10AM-1PM on the stage at The CENTER. Those auditioning only need to come to one of these dates. Auditions will happen on a first come, first served basis. We do not anticipate having a callback.
BARE is a musical. Students will be asked to sing and read at auditions. Please prepare a 32-bar cut of a contemporary musical theater or pop/rock song. This show is a rock opera, so the audition piece should reflect that style. Please provide sheet music for the accompanist; a cappella auditions will not be allowed. Be prepared to stay for 30-45 mins in order to read and sing. Please bring your schedule and be prepared to list any and all rehearsal conflicts.
If you cannot attend either audition date, please reach out to Lynne at lynne.czajka@gmail.com for instructions no later than Thursday November 10.
We are committed to diverse casting. We strongly encourage women, men, persons of color, and LGBTQ+ individuals to audition.

BARE
Book & Music: Damon Intrabartolo
Book & Lyrics: Jon Hartmere
A group of high school seniors at a Catholic boarding school faces issues of sexuality and personal identity. As they struggle to come to terms with who they are and who the world thinks they should be, they seek answers from their Church, their friends, and ultimately, from within themselves. Its rich, vibrant score draws on many styles of contemporary music.
