Definitely Human Theatre Company is proud to present Speech and Debate, written by Stephen Karam. In this unconventional dark comedy, three misfit high school students in Salem, Oregon discover that they are linked by a sex scandal that has rocked their town. In an effort to expose the truth, they form a unique debate club that sets out to perform a musical version of The Crucible (featuring a time traveling Abraham Lincoln) as part of their plot to take down their corrupt drama teacher and fend off the menace of encroaching adulthood. Directed by Joey Taylor, with choreography by Brooke Wallace, and dramaturgy by Vanessa Baer.
