Up In One Productions proudly presents the sparkling musical comedy, CURTAINS, with a score from Broadway powerhouse composers John Kander and Fred Ebb (Chicago, Cabaret), book by Rupert Holmes, directed and choreographed by Thomas Netter and music direction by Matthew Woolever.
It is the out-of-town opening of the new musical, Robbin Hood in 1959 Boston. During her curtain call, fading film star and supremely unpleasant and untalented leading lady, Jessica Cranshaw, is mysteriously murdered onstage. The entire cast and crew become suspects. Enter a local detective, who happens to be a passionate musical theatre fan and fun ensues. With a rousing score, dazzling dance numbers, a witty script, and colorful characters, CURTAINS is a hilarious musical-comedy send-up of classic whodunnit murder mysteries. The Broadway production, starring David Hyde Pierce, garnered 8 Tony nominations in 2007 including Best Musical and 10 Drama Desk Award nominations, winning Outstanding Book of a Musical.
The production features Duane Olson, Nicole Tarcza, Peter Kiewra, Rachel Karashay, Emily Woolever, Terrence Boyer, Amy LeBlanc, Kandy Harris, Amber McCarthy, Ory Lopez, Michael Britt, David Foster, Justin Doro, Elaine Young, Douglas Woolever, Michael Clark, Cedric James, Abbey Ressa, Michael Risio, Daniel DelPriore, Ben Simonetty, Jennelle Liscombe, Mia DeYoung, Sauliss Martinez, Jalen Carr, Mary Kate Barnett, and Michael Brunetti.
